
Monthly In-House Field Trips:
September – Health Month
We enjoy a visit from the Tooth Fairy who teaches the children how to correctly brush their teeth and what to do if they injure a tooth. We also visit with the school Doctor or Nurse to talk about how to stay healthy, including proper hand washing and how not to spread germs.
October - Safety Month
We visit with local Firefighters who teach the children what to do in the event of a fire. We also explore the fire truck and take turns with the fire hose! We also visit with Officer Friendly who talks to the children about stranger awareness and the buddy system.
November – Science Month
High Touch High Tech Science visits the children for a hands-on super science experience.
December – Holiday Season
December we celebrate the Holiday Season with a secular visit from Donny the Magician.
January – Marine Month
We explore marine life with a visit from the Traveling Sea Squids, Sea Sensation or the Maritime Center Travel Program.
February – Reading Month
We enjoy a visit with Huga-Tuga, a phonetically based reading experience where the children interact and create a story with character puppets.
March – Science Month
We enjoy a repeat visit with a new theme from High Touch High Tech Science. Always a big hit!
April – Animal Month
Always a favorite with the children, in April we enjoy a visit with baby farm animals. We have had visits from both the Farm on Wheels and Happy Critters.
May – Horse Month
The children enjoy pony rides from Pony Tails.
